Al Wadi, West Roxbury
If you know me well, then you know that I am so fascinated with the Lebanese culture. My favorite part about the Lebanese is their food. There is nothing better than a falefal kebab with pita bread, hummus, and baba ganouch - YUM!
Last Wednesday, I went to Al Wadi located on VFW Parkway in West Roxbury with some work folks. I am going to keep this post short because I really have nothing to complain about in terms of food, decor, and service.
1. FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! I ate raw meat which I still cannot believe I didn't get sick from. Go figure! We ordered in traditional Lebanese fashion which means you share everything. I was a-okay with that! After all, sharing is caring :) Everything was so colorful and scrumptious. My favorite was the simplest little appetizer. It's a dipping sauce called zattar made of thyme, sesame seeds, and oil. You dip pita bread in it and end up eating about 1,000 pieces because it is so good LOL. PS. I'm not a red wine drinker but Lebanese red wine is OFF THE CHAIN!
2. DECOR: I assume that the decor of Al Wadi was that of a typical Lebanese restaurant - gold, shimmery, and obnoxiously grand. I wish the music was louder because I LOVE Arabic music... oh well. Since it was a Wednesday, the place was pretty empty. Apparently, this place is super happening on weekends. Now I know where I am going next Saturday night so I can find my future husband. ;)
3. SERVICE: The service was good. Our waiter was very cute and polite, hehe. I just got mad at him because I was the only one he carded at the table. However, he quickly redeemed himself with his charming smile. HAHA I crack myself up.
Anyway, all in all, it was a good experience. I loved the food. I am really eager to come back on a busier night. Check it out! XOXO
